At a time when many feel disconnected from traditional religious practices and are searching for meaning in a chaotic world, author and theologian Donald W. Haynes brings a timely and transformative perspective with his new book, “A Christian Life Vision of Truth That Sets Us Free.” This engaging study reimagines how faith might be lived out in a way that is intellectually, spiritually, and authentically free in the cultural environment of today.

Donald starts by addressing a problem that many people face: the perception of religion as a meaningless ritual that ignores the hurts, uncertainties, and complexity of contemporary life. In the first section of the book, he provides a welcome reintroduction to “Faith Basics”—making religion approachable, grounded, and significant—by drawing on the rich reservoirs of Scripture, reason, tradition, and firsthand experience.

In Part II, Donald moves from insight to application. Like a spiritual playbook, this section equips readers to shape their lives through a Christian vision that is reflective, not rigid; compassionate, not condemning; and liberating, not limiting. It is here that the book's heartbeat becomes clear: faith should not bind us in boredom or legalism, but set us free to live with purpose, joy, and clarity.

“With this book, I want to help readers reimagine Christianity not as a stale tradition, but as a dynamic vision of life that speaks directly to who we are and where we are right now,” says Donald. “This is about reclaiming the truth that heals, the truth that guides, and ultimately, the truth that sets us free.”

“A Christian Life Vision of Truth That Sets Us Free” serves as a theological compass and a highly personal perspective for readers understanding faith in a rapidly evolving world. It is perfect for individuals who want to rediscover a faith that speaks to the reality of the twenty-first century, as well as for small group conversations and individual study.
