InventHelp Inventor Develops Local Positioning System for Firefighters (PTA-431)

PITTSBURGH, Nov. 24, 2025
PITTSBURGH, Nov. 24, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- "I wanted to create a local positioning system (LPS) wireless device with other technologies to wirelessly report a firefighter's location and heart rate status to dispatch," said an inventor, from Shepherdsville, Ky., "so I invented the LIFELINE. My design would improve the safety of firefighters responding to an emergency."
The invention provides a local positioning system (LPS) for use by firefighters and incident commanders. In doing so, it would monitor the location and well-being of each firefighter during a firefighting incident response. As a result, it would provide incident commanders and 911 central dispatch with real-time information on each firefighter. It also increases safety. The invention features an automatic design that is easy to use so it is ideal for public and volunteer fire departments. Additionally, a prototype model and technical drawings are available upon request.
The original design was submitted to the National sales office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
